Future Learning Systems are market leaders in the development of computer based training courses in Six Sigma and Project Management. Interactive, clearly laid out PC based training courses that engage the student with tasks and tests throughout have given us a reputation in the e-learning Project Management field that we are proud of.
Giving our clients the tools to improve processes (whether in a Six Sigma environment or just as part of ongoing quality improvement) and project management skills. We aim to offer a cost effective alternative and compliment to classroom training in six sigma, quality improvement and project management.
Clients include BP, BAE Systems, Orange, Toyota, Silverlink Trains and host of others from a variety of sectors of industry.
Training courses currently available are listed below.
Six Sigma Training
We have two Six Sigma e-learning courses; Introduction to Six Sigma and Six Sigma Tools and Techniques.
The Introduction to Six Sigma training package is aimed at those who are new to Six Sigma, or require an overview of Six Sigma. Lasting approximately 3 hours, it touches on Six Sigma concepts, Green & Black belts, the need for Six Sigma, Process Metrics, Cost of poor quality and DMAIC amongst others. This is the first of our e-learning training courses to be available over the internet.
Six Sigma Tools & Techniques is aimed at Six Sigma yellow belts and Six Sigma green belts explaining how Six Sigma is used. This course is divided into the 5 Six Sigma phases (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control) and teaches Six Sigma tools such as Stratification, Pareto Analysis, Scatter Diagrams, Designed Experiments and a wide range of other Six Sigma tools, and lasts about 10 hours.
Project Management Training
The Project Management e-learning curriculum is divided into 5 modules:
Planning & Scheduling is a project management training course in techniques such as Critical Path Analysis, Gantt Charts, Work Breakdown Structures, etc.
Estimating is a project management training course covering preliminary estimating techniques such as PERT, Factor estimating, Cost per unit estimating etc.
Cost Planning & Control is a project management training course looking at both traditional milestone based approaches to cost control as well as Earned Value Management.
Risk Analysis & Management is a project management training course focussing on the likelihood/impact approach to risk management producing a risk register.
Resource Management is a project management training course in where the core is the process of resource levelling.
Process Improvement Training
The Process Analysis e-learning course teaches the skills required to solve problems and design new processes. In continuous improvement, (Six Sigma or otherwise) a good knowledge is necessary of the tools and techniques of continuous improvement or quality improvement. This generic course provides about 8-10 hours of training, and covers areas such as Matrix Diagrams, Flowcharts, Control Charts and Cause & Effect diagrams.
